Jim is Senior Manager, Talent Mobility at WestRock Company, a $17B, 40,000 employee paper and packaging company based in Richmond, Virginia.  He oversees the mobility program which encompasses domestic and international relocation, assignment management and immigration. Prior to joining WestRock in 2010, Jim spent seven years with two relocation management companies, as well twelve years with BASF Corporation in various mobility and human resources roles.  He is President of the Greater Richmond Relocation Council and an active member of the Worldwide ERC (WERC), having served on the U.S. Advisory Board, the CRP Certification Review Board and multiple conference/symposium meeting planning committees.  He has also twice served as instructor of the GMS-“T” accreditation class and on the GMS-T program design committee.  He is a frequent moderator and panelist at WERC events.

Jim earned a BS in Psychology from the City University of New York and a Masters in Human Resources Management from Rutgers University.  He is certified in German language proficiency by the Goethe Institute-Munich, and also speaks basic Spanish.  He has earned the SCRP and SGMS-T and has received his Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR)  and Senior Certified Professional  (SCP) designations from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).  He is a two-time recipient of WERC’s “Distinguished Service Award”. He is passionate about the need for global mobility professionals to think more strategically and to explore new ways to add value.
